SAFE CASHEW
LABELLING AND LEGISLATIONS
We comply international labelling regulations and legislations to ensure we supply safe cashew to our customers worldwide.
Non-GMO
We have zero-tolerance for contamination of food supply with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). GM contamination is utterly unacceptable as it puts the entire food system and its supply chain at risk. Our policy stipulates that the use of genetically engineered organisms or their products are prohibited in any form or at any stage of our production, processing or handling.
All cashew kernels manufactured by us are from produced from non-GMO raw cashew nuts procured directly at the origin at the farm-gate level under our direct supervision.
Cashew nuts manufactured and marketed by us are not subjected to GMO labelling under the Regulations 1829/2003/EC and 1830/2003/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the traceability and labelling of genetically modified organisms and the traceability of food and feed products produced from genetically modified organisms and any amending regulation.
Gluten Free
We certify all our cashew products gluten-free as per EU Regulation 41/2009. In no part of our operations do we use or add wheat, rye, barley, oats, or any of their by-products.
Proposition 65 Statement
Alphonsa Cashew Industries is committed to providing safe, high-quality products for our customers and their consumers. We have worked with our suppliers and other supply chain partners to ensure that our procurement of Raw Cashew will meet Prop 65 Standards. We will continue to monitor the Proposition 65 regulations for any new chemicals and will compare any newly listed chemicals with our finished product and communicate this information to all of our stakeholders.
Non-Ionisation (Irradiation)
We do not treat our cashew to any irradiation treatment including use of Gamma Rays (Cobalt 60 or Cesium 137), X-Rays and Electron beam.
