The new 2000 square-meter greenfield facility, built alongside the Head Office at Puthoor will enable Alphonsa to house the latest in Pasteurisation, Packing and Food Safety equipments. The investment is a response to growing customer demand for high quality cashew nuts processed and packed to individual customer specifications, demonstrating Alphonsa’s continued commitment to providing its customers with the finest and safest cashew nuts.

“Food Safety and Innovation stands at the forefront of our Pasteurisation and Packing Complex, as we bring together all our expertise and resources for this facility”, said Babu Oommen, Chairman of Alphonsa Cashew Industries.

In keeping with Alphonsa’s commitment to sustainability, the new complex is being built on the guidelines of a green building backed by incorporating cutting-edge technology and environment friendly building materials to reduce its environmental footprint.

“It’s fitting we make this investment now, given the changing food safety regulations world over and the rising customer demand for safe cashew nuts. This facility will help us meet the aspirations of our current and prospective customers.”, said Ebin Babu Oommen, Executive Director of Alphonsa Cashew Industries.

The investment follows a series of upgrades and investments to Alphonsa’s business operations, including the new Farmer Management System which will now act as the prime enabler of Alphonsa’s Sustainable and Responsible Procurement.
