Since its inception in 2010, the CII Food Safety Award has signified a commitment to excellence, urging businesses to surpass the benchmarks in food safety maturity assessments. The award ceremony, a notable event recognizing the highest standards of food safety excellence, was held on January 31st, 2024, at Hotel Le Meridien in New Delhi. In a significant moment for Alphonsa Cashew Industries, Ms. Inoshi Sharma, Executive Director of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), presented the award, marking the company's achievement as a leader in its field.

The evaluation process was carried out in four meticulous stages, which included a technical examination by trained food professionals, calibration by industry-specific calibrators, scrutiny by the Awards Committee, and a final review by a distinguished Jury panel. The demanding and thorough nature of the assessment is highlighted by the 100+ man-hours invested in reviewing each unit, reinforcing the award’s stature as a credible and exhaustive appraisal of food safety excellence.
